The Fireplace - 1st Wedding Anniversary Date

Around 2 years ago, when were looking for a venue for our wedding, New World Hotel Manila (it was still Hyatt back then) had the best wedding package among all the other hotels. Aside from the free stay to any Hyatt hotels (we stayed in Tokyo, check it out here), we get to celebrate our anniversary at the famous The Fireplace steakhouse inside their hotel. Sobrang sulit! Shout out to Ms. Joanna Sy for being so helpful and generous with the freebies :)

Last weekend, Blanca and I went to The Fireplace to claim our free steak set for two.

The place was nice and the service of their staff, grabe, galing! Excellent service!
While waiting, they served us bread with nuts.
We ordered the Millionaire Salad kahit hindi kami milyonaryo, haha! Meron siyang prawns, scallops, mushrooms, at foie gras. I must admit, hindi kami fan ng foie gras.
Tingnan mo ngiti niya o
After ng napaskasarap na panapin, they served our mushroom soup.
After we finished our soup, tenenen... dumating na yung Angus steak.

Ang masasabi ko lang ay this restaurant serves one of those steaks that make you say "pusanggala, ang sarap nito!"
Look at those sexy silent killers...

For dessert, one entry caught our attention. Nakalagay, Chocolate Soup.
Very innocent looking noh. Sa loob-loob ko, soup ba ito? Bakit parang malaking medium rare cookie?

Shetters, happiness! One of the best chocolate desserts you'll have in your entire life! We'd go this place kahit para dito lang. Pwedeng i-share for 3 persons ang isang order of around 400++ pesos. Puwedeng-pwede na!
Here's my lovely date before digging in, she lost composure and finesse while eating the chocolate soup, haha!

Will we go back? Hell yeah!

  1. Hope you had a lovely first anniversary date. It is my sister’s anniversary in couple of months and I am planning to throw a party for them on successful completion of five years. Already booked one of beautiful Seattle venues and hope to arrange a grand party.
